The World Scout Jamboree offers so many opportunities! Not only will you have the opportunity to travel to another country with a great group of kiwis, you will also meet people from different countries and experience cultures from all around the world. Some of these people will become great friends which you will have for a lifetime.
You will have the opportunity to try out and learn lots of new things while you're away - including camping alongside 40,000 young people from 169+ different countries.
This is our current plan, but we may make some tweaks in the lead up to the trip depending on factors like flight schedules.
17 - 18 July: Auckland Orientation
19 July: Fly to Europe
20 - 28 July: Pre Tour!
27 July: IST arrive at Jamboree
29 July: Youth and Patrol Kaiārahi arrive at Jamboree
30 July - 8 August: World Scout Jamboree
9 August: Depart Jamboree
10 - 12 August: Post Tour!
13 August: Fly back to Aotearoa
We are still firming up pre-tour and post-tour but have plenty of options to choose from in Europe!
Pre Tour
Pre-tour will give you an opportunity to connect with your patrols, the wider contingent, and start building your independence.
We plan to travel around Poland and some of its neighbouring countries. There will be plenty of opportunities to see the sights, learn about local history, eat interesting local food, and get the best souvenir for your family back home.
Youth will have a chance to have their say in the pre-tour itinerary before the event.
Post Tour
Post Tour is a chance to pause, reflect, and celebrate the adventure you've just had, before we make the trip back to Aotearoa.
